SAT

Measure Your College Readiness

The SAT is intended to assess a high school student’s readiness for college, and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants.

The SAT is a standardized college admissions test widely used in the United States and around the world to assess a student’s readiness for higher education. It’s designed to measure your skills and knowledge in key areas that are essential for success in college and beyond. These areas include:

Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW)

This section evaluates your reading comprehension and writing abilities, encompassing reading passages, vocabulary, grammar, and essay writing.

Mathematics

The math section assesses your mathematical skills, from algebra and problem-solving to advanced concepts such as trigonometry and calculus.

Essay (Optional)

While the SAT essay is now optional, it can be a valuable addition to your application, allowing colleges to gauge your ability to analyze and write about complex topics.
