2024 JAMB UTME Mock Exam Key Points
The UTME mock is an optional pre-examination test organized by JAMB annually for candidates preparing to take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates were required to express their interest in participating in the mock exam during the initial UTME registration phase. The 2024 mock UTME is scheduled for Thursday, 7th March, 2024.
It’s important to note that the mock exam is not compulsory, and the score obtained does not affect the main exam. Participation in the mock exam is also not a prerequisite for taking the main exam.
The primary aim of the mock examination is to allow candidates to assess their preparedness and familiarize themselves with the computer-based test environment. Introduced in 2017, the mock exam provides a hands-on experience, particularly for candidates who are not familiar with computer use.
Additionally, the mock exam serves as a test for all systems in various centres to ensure smooth operation during the main exam. It also helps prepare the CBT centres and gives them insight into handling candidates effectively during the main exam.
Printing of the 2024 UTME mock exam slip has not yet begun. The mock exam slip will contain details such as the venue and time of the exam for eligible candidates.
Whether or not you choose to take the mock exam, you can still prepare effectively with the Myschool JAMB CBT Mobile App for Android phones or the Myschool JAMB CBT Software for computer systems. These tools provide a similar interface to the one used in the main exam, allowing you to practice with mock questions and assess your readiness for the main exam.
As the JAMB mock exam approaches, expect updates including the date for mock exam slip printing and procedures, guidelines for the mock exam, live updates before the mock exam begins, experiences shared by candidates after the mock exam, and a platform for candidates to share questions encountered during the mock exam. These updates are designed to help all candidates, whether or not they participate in the mock exam, prepare effectively for the main exam.
